Job Duties
Supervises the activities of inmates in the preparation and serving of meals for the population and staff. Trains inmates in all kitchen policies and procedures. Maintains a high standard of food safety, sanitation and quality in a cost-efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of large volume food operations, sanitation, and food safety standards. Working knowledge of the computer and Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook. Skilled in the operation of food service equipment. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and/or inmates in a food service environment.
Additional Considerations
Serv-Safe Certification. Working knowledge of Department of Corrections (DOC) policies and procedures for Food Services. Food Service experience working in a correctional, educational, hospital or similar institutional environment.
